Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, under Dharma Productions, is set to enter the Gujarati film industry in partnership with Vaartakaar Films. Their first venture, “Jindagi Once More,” is slated for release on June 19, 2026. The film, produced by Vaasu Dholakia and directed by Jaymin, stars Siddharth Randeria and Aarti Patel in key roles.
Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharma Productions, highlighted the studio’s aim to explore regional storytelling. He emphasized the universal appeal of compelling narratives, expressing excitement about supporting culturally rooted stories in the Gujarati cinema landscape. Producer Vasuu Dholakia hailed Dharma Productions’ entry as a significant milestone for the Gujarati film industry, underscoring the film’s potential to set new standards.
“Jindagi Once More” delves into a touching father-son relationship narrative, shedding light on the lesser-known aspects of a father’s life before parenthood. The film, scheduled for release on Father’s Day weekend, marks Jaymin’s directorial debut and features a screenplay by Deep Dholakia. Notably, Deep Dholakia will also make his on-screen debut alongside newcomer Jahanvi Dhakan.
