Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president Om Prakash Rajbhar, also a Minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, criticized Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for allegedly favoring certain areas over others in the use of MP funds. Rajbhar claimed that development projects in Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency were concentrated in specific regions, neglecting non-Yadav backward communities and Dalits.
Rajbhar highlighted that the utilization of MP funds in Kannauj had garnered national attention, with resources primarily directed towards particular localities while areas inhabited by communities like Jatav, Dhanuk, Dhobi, and Lodhi were overlooked. He accused the Samajwadi Party of historically marginalizing other backward communities, alleging that OBC reservation benefits were disproportionately benefiting Yadavs and Muslims.
The SBSP president pointed out that due to these alleged discriminatory practices, members of extremely backward and Dalit communities were still relegated to low-paying jobs such as daily wage labor, rickshaw pulling, and working at roadside eateries. Rajbhar further claimed that two generations of these communities suffered social and economic setbacks during the Samajwadi Party’s rule, which he believed had weakened them.
Rajbhar also accused SP workers of intimidation and cited instances of alleged harassment in places like Moradabad and Banda. Directly addressing Akhilesh Yadav, he urged the party not to coerce those wanting to leave and suggested addressing personal issues directly rather than targeting others. Rajbhar affirmed his commitment to advocating for the rights of non-Yadav OBCs and Dalits, vowing to persist despite any pressures.
