Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan delighted her fans with a recent social media post showcasing a simple yet stylish bindi, reminiscent of Sridevi. In a close-up selfie, Kareena sported a red bindi, complemented by subtle makeup and a traditional outfit. The background song she chose was “Meri Bindiya,” a classic from Sridevi’s film ‘Lamhe’.
Released in 1991 and directed by Yash Chopra, ‘Lamhe’ starred Sridevi in a double role alongside Anil Kapoor. The movie’s plot centered on a young man who falls for an older woman and later becomes attracted to her daughter, played by Sridevi. Known for her exceptional acting skills, Sridevi was a prominent figure in Indian cinema, delivering remarkable performances.
Sridevi, a dominant figure in Bollywood during the 1980s and 1990s, starred in iconic films like ‘Mr India’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Nagina’, ‘ChaalBaaz’, and ‘Khuda Gawah’. Following a hiatus after the birth of her daughter Janhvi Kapoor, Sridevi made a successful comeback with the 2012 hit ‘English Vinglish’.
