Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra expressed concern about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah sending Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on foreign tours while poor patients in rural government hospitals face medicine shortages. Vijayendra highlighted reports of surgeries being delayed due to lack of medicines, criticizing the government’s neglect of this issue.
He accused the government of prioritizing foreign trips over ensuring adequate medicine supplies and addressing healthcare challenges faced by the poor. Vijayendra also raised suspicions of artificial medicine shortages in rural areas and urged immediate action to resolve these issues.
Vijayendra further questioned the government’s allocation of funds, pointing out discrepancies in compensating shepherds for livestock losses. He emphasized the need for timely compensation under the Anugraha scheme and called for increased budgetary support for marginalized communities’ development initiatives.
The BJP leader criticized Minister Priyank Kharge’s comments on coastal districts and challenged him to clarify the development initiatives in these regions. Vijayendra also interpreted remarks made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son as a subtle indication of potential political changes, suggesting a lack of confidence in the current government’s actions.
