Karnataka BJP President and MLA, B.Y. Vijayendra, criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar for disregarding the struggles of the youth. He highlighted the failure of the state government to address the demands of protesting youth, especially regarding the filling of vacant government positions. Vijayendra emphasized that despite prolonged protests and pleas from student unions, the government has not taken effective action.
Vijayendra alleged that the focus of CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar is on power struggles rather than resolving youth-related issues. He mentioned that around 2.85 lakh government posts are still unfilled, with the recruitment process not even initiated by the Congress government. The State BJP President criticized the government for using legal issues related to reservations as excuses for the delay in recruitment, causing further injustice to the youth.
The BJP leader expressed disappointment over the government’s failure to prioritize job recruitments despite being in power for almost three years. He urged immediate action to start the recruitment process for vacant posts and called for reforms in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). Vijayendra also stressed the need for the state government to address concerns regarding law and order, citing recent violent incidents in various cities.
