Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra suggested that leadership changes are underway in the Congress party in the state. He mentioned that discussions on this matter are ongoing, pointing to statements made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Vijayendra also criticized the state government, alleging issues like rising drug abuse and corruption.
Vijayendra further claimed that Congress leaders have expressed doubts about winning upcoming by-elections. He highlighted the lack of confidence within the party regarding victory. Additionally, he accused the current government of neglecting development across the state, contrasting it with the progress during the tenure of former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa.
The BJP President announced a grand event to commemorate Yediyurappa’s 50-year political journey, with various cultural activities planned. Notably, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend the event. Vijayendra emphasized the non-political nature of the celebration, urging against politicizing the occasion and highlighting Yediyurappa’s long-standing dedication to public service.
