Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar visited senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Sonia Gandhi’s residence in New Delhi. This meeting marked his first visit to 10 Janpath since becoming Chief Minister. During the discussions, Shivakumar expressed gratitude to the Congress leadership and deliberated on party and governance issues.
Shivakumar also met with Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra separately during his visit to the national capital. The discussions included topics related to organizational and political matters concerning Karnataka and the party’s future plans. Sources revealed that the meeting involved consultations on various issues concerning the state and the party.
Earlier, D.K. Shivakumar paid a courtesy visit to the National Mahila Congress office and the Indian Youth Congress office in New Delhi. He also visited the office of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI). The Chief Minister’s visit to New Delhi comes amidst discontent within the Karnataka cabinet over portfolio allocations. Shivakumar arrived in the capital to engage with the party high command amid dissatisfaction among some ministers over their roles.
