Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP for resorting to personal attacks instead of highlighting their achievements during a public rally in Davanagere South Assembly constituency. He expressed confidence in the Congress winning both constituencies in the upcoming by-elections. Siddaramaiah urged voters to support Shamanur Shivashankarappa’s grandson, emphasizing the need for continued development in the region.

The Chief Minister accused the BJP of failing to deliver on development despite being in power for nine years. He highlighted that the Congress focuses on unity among communities and does not engage in divisive politics, unlike the BJP. Siddaramaiah condemned the BJP’s alleged strategy of inciting communal conflicts for political gains.

Siddaramaiah also pointed out internal corruption allegations within the BJP, referencing accusations against party leaders Yediyurappa and Vijayendra. He emphasized the integrity of late leaders Shamanur Shivashankarappa and H.Y. Meti, stating that the Congress is committed to fulfilling its promises and seeking votes based on its development initiatives.
