Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara accused Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy of offering political criticism instead of constructive suggestions on the proposed Bidadi Township Project near Bengaluru. Parameshwara emphasized that the state government had no plans to displace farmers and was proceeding with the project after addressing their concerns through dialogue and consensus.
He mentioned that the government was actively listening to grievances, building trust among farmers, and would move forward only through consultation and agreement. Parameshwara clarified that his visit to H.K. Patil’s residence was a courtesy call due to his recent illness, and they discussed strengthening the organization and effective governance for public welfare.
In response to questions about the Bidadi Township Project controversy, Parameshwara highlighted Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s invitation to Kumaraswamy for a discussion on the issue. He mentioned the ongoing political aspect of the project and the government’s commitment to implementing it without political influence. Parameshwara reiterated that the government’s aim was not to displace farmers but to involve them in the decision-making process.
