Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar visited the Tirumala pilgrimage center to seek blessings for the country’s economic crisis to be overcome and for the state to receive good rainfall. This visit holds significance amidst the ongoing leadership struggle in the state, with Shivakumar and his wife offering prayers to Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy during the early hours.
Shivakumar’s stay in Tirumala was followed by his attendance at a government event in Tumakuru marking three years in office. Considered a strong contender for the Chief Minister post, Shivakumar recently mentioned the possibility of being summoned to Delhi along with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for discussions.
After his prayers at the Tirumala Tirupati temple, Shivakumar expressed his wishes for peace, prosperity, and good health for the nation’s citizens. He specifically prayed for the country to avoid economic crises, for everyone to be blessed with strength and good health, and for favorable rainfall in the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the importance of peace, stability, and effective problem-solving for the nation. He commended the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams for their developmental efforts and cleanliness, acknowledging the positive changes brought about by the administration.
Shivakumar, pleased with his darshan of Lord Venkateshwara, lauded the TTD administration and its chairman for their commendable work. He extended his appreciation to the Revenue Minister and the entire team for their outstanding contributions, expressing gratitude for the warm reception during his visit.
