Deputy Chief Minister and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar announced the resolution of the ticket allocation matter for Indian Premier League matches. Following discussions with various stakeholders, it was decided that legislators and Members of Parliament would receive a revised ticket quota. For IPL matches, three tickets will be provided to MLAs and MPs, down from the previous four, with additional tickets available for purchase. Shivakumar clarified that two tickets would be complimentary, and any extra tickets would need to be bought.

Shivakumar highlighted that discussions were held to enhance seating capacity at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. He mentioned that a proposal to increase seating by 20,000 was under consideration by the government. The issue of a separate gallery for politicians was also addressed, with Shivakumar stating that he would not intervene further. Regarding sports infrastructure, land allocations for developing new stadiums in various locations, including Bengaluru, were disclosed.

Shivakumar shared his upcoming campaign plans for by-elections, indicating his scheduled visits to Davanagere and Bagalkot. He also mentioned an upcoming trip to Kerala and plans for a press conference with All India Congress Committee General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala on the cooking gas crisis. Speaking about Assam, Shivakumar reaffirmed the Congress party’s commitment to its promises and expressed confidence in the party’s prospects in the region.
