Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister G. Parameshwara expressed concerns to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the alleged NEET question paper leak and exam irregularities. Parameshwara called for a rollback of NEET, restoration of state-level CETs, and a time-bound inquiry into the matter. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in addressing the issues raised by students and parents.
Parameshwara highlighted that the recent incidents had eroded students’ confidence nationwide. He criticized the use of force against protesting students and emphasized the importance of respecting the voices of the youth. The Deputy Chief Minister urged for a fair investigation into the alleged irregularities and for measures to restore public trust in the examination system.
In his letter to the Prime Minister, Parameshwara also raised concerns about the treatment of protesting students and the handling of the opposition leader during the demonstrations. He called for meaningful dialogue with students and educators to address the grievances and ensure accountability. Parameshwara stressed the importance of responding to the students’ concerns through dialogue and not through suppression.
