Minister for Public Works Department (PWD), Satish Jarkiholi, a close associate of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, mentioned that any uncertainty regarding leadership change would be clarified after the breakfast meeting called by the Chief Minister on Thursday. The importance of his statements is highlighted amidst the swift political developments concerning the potential leadership transition in the state.
Jarkiholi, speaking in Delhi, emphasized the need to wait for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s announcements and directives from the high command. He noted the lack of communication with Siddaramaiah post the meeting with high command leaders in Delhi, indicating a pending discussion upon their meeting in Bengaluru.
Regarding the ongoing discussions on leadership change and the breakfast meeting, Jarkiholi emphasized the necessity of an official declaration before expressing opinions. He also addressed speculations about him being considered for the post of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President, clarifying that it was merely a topic of discussion with no official approach yet.
In response to queries about the Deputy Chief Minister position or leadership change, Jarkiholi stressed the importance of adhering to the party’s decisions and responsibilities assigned by the high command. He reiterated the need for consensus among party members on roles and duties designated by the party leadership.
Minister for School Education and Literacy, Madhu Bangarappa, expressed unawareness regarding any potential Chief Minister change in Shivamogga. He mentioned his readiness to attend the breakfast meeting called by Siddaramaiah, indicating a shift in his schedule to accommodate the event.
