Karnataka’s Minister for Skill Development and Medical Education, Sharan Prakash R. Patil, introduced the ‘Adidvara’ app, a unique platform focusing on inclusive employment and skilling. The launch took place at Vikasa Soudha in Bengaluru in collaboration with the AssisTech Foundation (ATF).
The minister revealed plans for a special job fair for persons with disabilities (PwDs) scheduled for August 2026 at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Emphasizing equal opportunities, Patil highlighted the talents of PwDs and urged corporates to ensure fair treatment during recruitment processes.
The ‘Adidvara’ platform serves as a connection point for PwDs seeking employment, internships, and skill development programs. It allows employers to advertise inclusive job roles and access a diverse talent pool. Using an AI-powered job-candidate matching system, the platform aligns skills, interests, and accessibility needs with suitable job positions, facilitating effective and purposeful hiring.
Minister Patil also unveiled the official logo for the upcoming job fair, demonstrating the Karnataka government’s dedication to fostering an inclusive workforce environment. The event, set for August 2026, aims to create a significant inclusive employment and skilling festival, linking job-ready PwDs with employers, training partners, and assistive technology startups.
