Emphasizing Karnataka’s leading position in the AI sector, Kharge mentioned the state’s role as a hub for innovation-driven growth. Notably, global AI giants like Harvey AI and Anthropic have already set up base in Karnataka, with The Walt Disney Company expanding its AI network in Bengaluru.
Kharge engaged in extensive discussions with international industry leaders, researchers, and startup founders during the summit, focusing on technology partnerships and innovation opportunities. He oversaw the signing of an agreement between H Company and St. John’s Medical College and Research Institute in Bengaluru for implementing advanced enterprise AI solutions in hospital operations. Additionally, Kharge participated in a roundtable meeting organized by the US-India Business Council, aiming to enhance technology collaboration and investment partnerships between Karnataka and global enterprises.
The Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for American companies to drive innovation in Bengaluru during discussions with high-level delegations from Finland and Cyprus. Kharge also explored collaboration prospects with Anthropic Co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei, discussing responsible AI, digital governance, and support for AI startups and developers. The meeting underscored Karnataka’s efforts to establish itself as a premier global AI hub through partnerships with international tech firms and bolstering support for startups and research institutions.
