Uttarakhand Minister Bharat Singh Chaudhary noted a significant rise in the popularity of Kedarnath Dham nationwide and globally following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for a spiritual retreat. This surge has led to a continuous increase in the number of pilgrims visiting the shrine each year, with over seven lakh devotees already visiting Kedarnath this year, showcasing a growing faith among pilgrims.
Chaudhary highlighted the state government’s efforts to enhance facilities for pilgrims at Kedarnath. He mentioned ongoing improvements in facilities, including the networking of hospitals and the establishment of health assistance centers at convenient locations for pilgrims.
During a review meeting with officials from departments under his authority, the Minister emphasized the positive progress in various schemes and projects. He commended the performance of most departments, except for Khadi Gramodyog, and urged officials to focus on strengthening implementation to maintain Uttarakhand’s lead in rural development schemes nationwide.
Moreover, Chaudhary criticized the Congress party, stating that it is losing relevance in public and political spheres. He claimed that the party is facing challenges in maintaining popularity and addressing public concerns, gradually becoming insignificant on matters of public interest.
