Kerala Chief Minister-designate V.D. Satheesan revealed the lineup of the new 20-member UDF Council of Ministers, concluding extensive negotiations and discussions. The ministerial team comprises a mix of seasoned leaders and fresh faces from the Congress and key UDF allies like the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Kerala Congress.
Among the notable members in the Satheesan cabinet are Ramesh Chennithala, Sunny Joseph, K. Muraleedharan, and several others from different political parties. Despite the electoral success, Satheesan expressed disappointment over the limited cabinet positions available for the Congress due to alliance commitments.
IUML State President Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal announced the inclusion of veteran leader Parakkal Abdulla in the cabinet later on to ensure representation for the Kozhikode district. The swearing-in ceremony for the new government is set to happen at Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday morning.
