The final electoral roll for Kerala has been released, revealing a total voter count of 2,69,53,644 after the Special Intensive Revision. Initially, 2.78 crore forms were distributed in the first phase of the revision process across the state. Following meticulous scrutiny, hearings, and corrections in all 140 Assembly constituencies, the rolls were finalized.
According to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, 9,06,211 names were eliminated from the voters’ list during the revision. Among these, 53,229 names were deleted after statutory hearings, including those of deceased individuals, foreign citizens, relocated voters, and cases of duplication. Simultaneously, 4,24,518 new voters were added to the final roll.
Between October 27 last year and January 30, 2026, the Election Commission received 13,51,151 new applications for inclusion and approved 1,59,111 applications from expatriates seeking to be registered as overseas voters. During the revision period, 24,28,639 applications were processed for inclusion or deletion, while 3,93,333 applications were accepted for corrections to existing entries.
The electoral roll now consists of 1,38,27,319 women and 1,31,26,048 men, with 277 transgender voters and 2,23,558 Non-Resident (overseas) voters included. The Election Commission has confirmed that there is still an opportunity for enrollment, with names being accepted until the final date for filing nominations for the upcoming Assembly elections. Voters can verify their details online through the Election Commission’s portal using various identification details.
The booth-level final electoral roll under SIR 2026 is accessible on the Chief Electoral Officer’s official website. With the completion of the final roll, preparations are gearing up for the upcoming Assembly polls, which are anticipated to be announced soon.
