In a significant development, the Kerala High Court has dismissed all legal actions against Malayalam actor Shwetha Menon related to allegations of appearing in films and ads with obscene content. The court ruled that the accusations, even if true, did not amount to any offenses mentioned in the case.
The case stemmed from a complaint filed by Martin Menanchery, leading to an FIR under the Information Technology Act and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. However, the High Court found the allegations insufficient to invoke these laws.
Notably, the court highlighted that the complaint lacked evidence of Menon engaging in activities that would violate the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act or publishing explicit material online, as required by the IT Act.
