The Kerala High Court has removed the interim police protection granted to Monalisa Bhosle, known as the Viral Kumbh Mela Star, as the police were unable to locate her using the provided contact information. The court decision came after the State informed that their attempts to reach Monalisa had been unsuccessful.

The Government Pleader stated that despite the police’s efforts to offer protection, they could not find Monalisa as requested by the court. Monalisa’s counsel informed the court that he had not received any instructions from her regarding the State’s statements.

The court canceled its interim order issued on June 19 but clarified that if Monalisa formally requests police protection in writing, the authorities must ensure her safety. The case is scheduled for further hearing on July 21.

Monalisa had approached the High Court citing harassment on media platforms after marrying Mohammed Farmaan. She gained fame during the Maha Kumbh celebrations for selling ‘rudraksha’ garlands, leading to her viral recognition as the Viral Kumbh Mela Star.
