Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has once again been acknowledged nationally for its digital initiatives in the education sector. The state government agency’s AI platform, Samagra Plus, was honored at the 6th Governance Now Digital Transformation Summit for its excellence in e-learning and digital education. This recognition highlights Kerala’s advancement in technology-driven public education.
Samagra Plus, powered by artificial intelligence, is designed to personalize education by catering to students’ academic levels, learning speeds, and individual requirements. The platform integrates various advanced tools such as AI-driven chatbots, interactive quizzes, English language learning games, speech assistants, and specialized assessment modules. These features aim to shift towards adaptive and student-centric learning methods, moving away from traditional uniform teaching approaches.
KITE’s CEO, K. Anvar Sadath, emphasized that Samagra Plus was developed in alignment with the curriculum, addressing concerns related to AI in education. By closely following the curriculum framework, the platform eliminates the risk of algorithmic bias while maintaining educational integrity. This recent award is the second national recognition for Samagra Plus, following its Education Technology Transformation Award in December 2025, showcasing its growing national acceptance.
Experts in the education sector see these accolades as validation of Kerala’s substantial investments in digital infrastructure for public schooling. As various states in India explore AI integration in classrooms, Samagra Plus stands out for its innovative approach within a strong public education system. Kerala’s model is gaining national attention, solidifying the state’s position as a leader in using technology to improve equity, quality, and accessibility in school education.
