Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju demanded an apology from Congress and Rahul Gandhi for the controversial “Chinese tanks in Doklam” statement. Rijiju emphasized that India, under PM Modi’s leadership, would not compromise on its territory. He criticized Gandhi for creating a false narrative and portraying India as weak.
Rijiju highlighted the need for the Congress to apologize for past actions of surrendering Indian territory to China. He expressed disapproval of Gandhi’s behavior in Lok Sabha, stating that the Congress leader must follow democratic norms and House rules. Rijiju underscored the importance of not surrendering any Indian land under the current government.
The Minister pointed out the improvement in border infrastructure and the strong presence of armed forces under PM Modi’s administration. He refrained from commenting on potential disciplinary actions against Gandhi, focusing instead on the necessity of an apology from the Congress. Rijiju stressed the significance of acknowledging past mistakes regarding territorial concessions to China.
