Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul recently engaged with a group of young cricketers at Team India’s training session in Vadodara. This interaction followed Team India’s victory against New Zealand in the first match of the ODI Series. In a video released by the BCCI, Rahul, 33, donned Team India’s training attire and fielded questions from the aspiring players.
One of the young cricketers sought advice from Rahul on dealing with limited opportunities. In response, Rahul encouraged the player to persevere and be prepared for chances that may arise. He emphasized the importance of hard work and readiness to seize opportunities, whether in domestic, international, or local competitions.
During the first ODI at the BCA Stadium, Rahul played a crucial role in India’s win over New Zealand. In the 49th over, he sealed the victory with two boundaries and a six, scoring 29 runs off 21 deliveries. Rahul’s impactful performance contributed significantly to India’s four-wicket triumph.
KL Rahul is set to showcase his skills again in the upcoming second ODI against New Zealand at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. The match is part of the three-game series between India and New Zealand.
