Kolkata Police visited Pratik Jain’s residence to identify Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) members involved in the recent raids. The identification process involves reviewing CCTV footage from Jain’s residence and taking statements from local residents.
Statements are being recorded from family members, domestic staff, and security personnel at Jain’s residence. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has filed complaints at two police stations regarding the raids at Jain’s residence and I-PAC’s office.
The complaints, filed against unidentified individuals, do not name any specific ED officials or CAPF personnel. Kolkata Police have also lodged a suo motu complaint in connection with the matter. The raids were conducted in relation to an old coal smuggling case linked to I-PAC through a hawala trail.
