KPIT Technologies announced the passing of its founder and Chairman, Ravi Pandit, in Pune at the age of 71. Ravi Pandit, also known as Dr. S.B. Pandit, was instrumental in transforming KPIT Technologies into a global leader in mobility technology, specializing in automotive software and engineering solutions. His leadership expanded the company’s reach to 15 countries, offering cutting-edge mobility solutions for the automotive industry, including advancements in autonomous driving and clean energy technologies.
Apart from his corporate achievements, Ravi Pandit was actively involved in various public policy, sustainability, and social causes. He co-founded institutions like Pune International Centre and Janwani, and championed policy research through the Centre for Sustainable Development at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics. Ravi Pandit also represented Indian industry on national platforms, serving as the President of the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture and contributing to committees of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
KPIT Technologies’ shares saw a 1.37% increase in trading value on the BSE following the news of Ravi Pandit’s demise, reaching Rs 732.50 per share. Despite a 33% decline in consolidated net profit for the March quarter compared to the previous year, the company reported a 12% rise in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 1,711 crore in Q4 FY26.
