The KIM Information and Publicity Secretary emphasized the importance of releasing the hostages immediately. Despite tensions following recent killings, the Kuki-Zo community has shown restraint for peace.
The Kuki-Zo community ensured safe passage for over 200 Naga individuals amidst reports of abductions. They released a Naga leader and five individuals as goodwill gestures. Efforts are ongoing to release hostages held by various groups in Kangpokpi and Senapati districts.
