Actor Kunal Kemmu discussed the challenges he encountered moving from a successful child artist to a prominent hero in Bollywood. When he debuted with ‘Kalyug,’ he was told child actors rarely achieve success. Kunal expressed his frustration at being typecast before even getting a fair opportunity as a lead actor.
In an interview, Kunal highlighted how setbacks are often attributed to the ‘curse’ of being a former child actor, especially if a movie featuring a child star fails. He emphasized the need to view life as a series of acts rather than defining it by individual successes or failures.
Kunal likened life to a movie with different acts, stating that he now sees himself in the second act of his life. He expressed gratitude for the current opportunities and emphasized taking each day as it comes, appreciating the chance to pursue his passion.
Kunal Kemmu began his career as a child actor in movies like ‘Sir’ and ‘Raja Hindustani’ before transitioning to leading roles with ‘Kalyug.’ His filmography includes projects like ‘Golmaal 3,’ ‘Go Goa Gone,’ and ‘Malang.’ Besides acting, he received acclaim for his directorial debut ‘Madgaon Express’ and is currently hosting the reality show ‘Alliance.’
