Taiyabbat, the all-women wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was established in 2025 and has since recruited several women, surprising Indian agencies with the voluntary nature of these recruits. Apart from radicalization activities, Taiyabbat is actively involved in training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), aligning with Lashkar-e-Taiba’s focus on AI for future propaganda and attacks.

Intelligence reports suggest that Taiyabbat is expected to become more dangerous than its parent organization, Lashkar-e-Taiba, following Operation Sindoor, which significantly impacted the latter’s recruitment and leadership effectiveness. In contrast, Taiyabbat has seen nearly 80% voluntary recruitment, indicating a concerning willingness among women to join a terror group and their anti-India sentiments.

Women recruits within Taiyabbat are taking leading roles in various operations, including radicalization programs, recruitment camps, propaganda efforts, and AI training. While not yet involved in direct terror activities, these women are actively contributing to the group’s functions and youth recruitment efforts, which are crucial for Lashkar-e-Taiba’s operations.

Indian agencies have noted that Taiyabbat’s recruitment strategy, largely based on sympathetic reasons and showcasing dead terrorists, has led to a chain reaction of voluntary recruitments. This trend poses significant concerns for security agencies, especially considering the women’s effectiveness in recruiting youth for Lashkar-e-Taiba’s activities.

The Jamaat-ul-Muminat (JuM), the women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed, led by Sadiya Azhar, has been functional since October 2025 but has not matched Taiyabbat’s activities. This disparity is partly attributed to the visibility and functionality of Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed compared to Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, who has been less active post Operation Sindoor due to health issues and personal losses.
