A strong performance by Marcus Stoinis, scoring 62 off 22 deliveries, and Prabhsimran Singh’s 59 runs, guided Punjab Kings to a total of 222/4 in 20 overs against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026 match at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.

Prabhsimran Singh played a crucial role in stabilizing Punjab Kings’ innings after a solid start and continued to lead the team through the middle phase until his dismissal.

Despite a fierce battle with Jofra Archer, Prabhsimran Singh maintained an aggressive approach, achieving a powerplay strike rate of 188.57 and contributing significantly to Punjab Kings’ score of 65/1 by the end of the powerplay.

The middle overs saw Prabhsimran Singh continuing his attacking style, reaching his fourth fifty of the season in 35 balls and holding the innings together despite losing partners at the other end.

With a late surge by Marcus Stoinis, who scored an unbeaten 62 off 22 balls, Punjab Kings surpassed the 200-run mark, with Stoinis hitting two sixes and three fours in the final over to propel the team to a formidable total.

Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers put up a disciplined effort in the middle overs, but Stoinis’ explosive innings at the end proved to be a game-changer, ensuring Punjab Kings finished strongly.
