Lawrence Shankland has signed a two-year contract with Rangers F.C. after moving from Heart of Midlothian F.C. He will officially join Rangers when the transfer window opens on June 15, becoming the club’s first summer signing.
Shankland, a Scotland international, spent the last four seasons with Hearts, scoring 88 goals in 171 appearances. Last season, he netted 20 goals in 34 matches, including four against Rangers.
After completing the transfer, Shankland expressed his joy at fulfilling a childhood dream by joining Rangers. He emphasized his eagerness to contribute to the club’s quest for more silverware.
Rangers head coach Danny Röhl welcomed Shankland, praising his quality, leadership, and work ethic. Röhl highlighted Shankland’s experience and character as valuable assets for the team.
Shankland, who has scored four goals in 18 appearances for Scotland, is set to participate in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
