Actress Lily Collins expressed her joy as her stolen engagement ring, missing for three years, was returned to her. The “Emily in Paris” star shared her amazement on Instagram after the jewelers managed to retrieve her original rose-cut diamond ring. Collins, who got engaged to Charlie McDowell in September 2020, had her ring, wedding ring, and other belongings stolen from a West Hollywood hotel in May 2023.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed the theft, stating that a well-known female celebrity’s items were taken from a secured locker at the hotel. Collins, who described her ring’s return as significant, had initially announced her engagement with McDowell on Instagram with photos of the proposal and the ring. The couple tied the knot on September 4, 2021, in Dunton, Colorado, in a heartfelt ceremony.
Collins, known for her upcoming role as Audrey Hepburn in a film about the making of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” is set to have more memorable jewelry moments. The actress will portray Hepburn, the legendary British actress and fashion icon, in the movie that delves into the behind-the-scenes of the iconic 1961 romantic comedy.
