Liverpool secured a spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup by defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at Anfield. Curtis Jones opened the scoring, followed by goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah. Meanwhile, Manchester City also advanced with a 2-0 win against Salford City, while Newcastle United staged a comeback to beat Aston Villa 3-1, with Sandro Tonali scoring twice.

Manchester City took the lead early in the game against Salford City through Rayan Ait-Nouri’s deflected goal. Marc Guehi sealed the victory with a close-range finish in the 81st minute. Aston Villa initially led with Tammy Abraham’s goal but faced a setback when Marco Bizot was sent off. Tonali’s brace and Nick Woltemade’s goal secured the win for Newcastle United.

In another match, League One’s Mansfield Town stunned Burnley with a comeback victory, while West Ham needed extra time to defeat Burton Albion. Norwich City triumphed over West Bromwich Albion 3-1, and Southampton edged past Leicester City 2-1 with a late header from James Bree.
