The film ‘Lockdown’, directed by A R Jeeva and featuring Anupama Parameswaran, will now hit the screens on January 30 this year. Lyca Productions, the movie’s producer, shared the news on social media, mentioning the film’s new release date. Originally planned for December 5 last year, the film faced delays due to adverse weather conditions caused by a cyclone in Sri Lanka.
The movie, which has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board, is eagerly anticipated as it is based on a true story. The storyline revolves around Anitha, played by Anupama Parameswaran, who faces challenges and unwanted advances from men. The narrative unfolds during a 21-day lockdown imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19, leading to Anitha’s struggles and her family’s concerns.
‘Lockdown’, a woman-centric film, features a talented cast including Anupama Parameswaran, Charlie, Nirosha, and others. The music for the film is composed by NR Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin, with cinematography by K.A. Sakthivel.
