Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla recently visited Bundi and inaugurated various development projects totaling around Rs 48.98 crore. At the “Bundi Vikas Manthan” event, stakeholders were invited to contribute ideas for the city’s growth. Birla emphasized the need for Bundi to evolve into a hub of future opportunities, not just a relic of the past.
A comprehensive development plan has been outlined for Bundi, focusing on industrial growth and economic advancement. Birla highlighted the influx of investments in the region, foreseeing a boost in tourism that would bolster the local economy. He also underscored the significance of key infrastructure projects like the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the proposed Kota-Bundi Airport in enhancing connectivity and economic prospects.
The Lok Sabha Speaker emphasized the importance of modern sports facilities in nurturing local talent for national and international competitions. He reiterated the government’s commitment to bolstering sports infrastructure and creating avenues for budding athletes. Additionally, plans were discussed to preserve and enhance Bundi’s historical sites through conservation and beautification initiatives.
Several development projects, including a Youth Hostel, road constructions, and healthcare facilities, were inaugurated during the event. Notable attendees included MLA Harimohan Sharma, BJP District President Rameshwar Meena, and other local dignitaries. The event aimed to chart a long-term vision for urban infrastructure, tourism promotion, heritage conservation, and job creation in Bundi.
