Lokayukta officials in Karnataka carried out simultaneous raids in four districts targeting government officials accused of accumulating assets disproportionate to their income sources. The raids were conducted in Ballari, Chitradurga, Mysuru, and Shivamogga, with different teams examining documents and assets of the accused. In Chitradurga, a former accountant of Nirmithi Kendra faced allegations of amassing wealth beyond her known income sources during her tenure.

Raids were conducted at her residence in Medehalli layout and a farmhouse in Yadalaghatta village of Hiriyur taluk. The operation, led by Lokayukta SP Vasudevaram and Deputy Superintendent Mrutyunjaya, aimed to investigate the allegations. In Ballari, searches were carried out at the residence and office of an Assistant Director in the Fisheries Department, with raids at four locations, including his office and house in Siddharth Nagar.

The officials also scrutinized the government Bolero vehicle used by him and seized certain documents for further examination. The Assistant Director faces allegations of possessing Disproportionate Assets, with two teams of Lokayukta officials conducting the operation. In Mysuru, raids were conducted at the residence and office of an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Public Works Department on similar charges, with searches at his office in Mysuru and two residential properties in Mandya district.

In Shivamogga district, extensive searches were carried out at properties linked to a woman district officer in the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Raids were conducted in Shivamogga, Shikaripura, and Sagar, including her residence in Chennakeshava Nagar, a farmhouse near Taralaghatta, and a school owned by her near Achapura. Lokayukta officials also raided the residence of another BCM department staff member in Chalukyanagar area of Shivamogga city, examining documents for further investigation.

A total of five teams, led by the Lokayukta SP from Davanagere, are involved in the operation, with personnel from Shivamogga, Haveri, and Davanagere districts participating in the coordinated raids. The investigation is ongoing to uncover more details.
