The Madhya Pradesh Assembly’s monsoon session started with Congress MLAs protesting inside the premises. Elections to committees for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes welfare for 2026-27 are also on the agenda.
Umang Singhar is expected to discuss the non-availability of fertilizers and seeds for farmers during the critical Kharif crop period. He demanded swift procurement reforms and assured input supply to prevent crop failure. The session is set to address adjournment motions, short discussions, and replies to previous session questions, with a focus on farmers’ issues setting a contentious tone for the Monsoon Session.
