The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, unveiled this year’s transfer policy during a recent meeting. Following last year’s pattern, transfers are scheduled between June 1 and June 15 to ensure a smooth process. Departments can establish their transfer rules through the General Administration Department with the Chief Minister’s endorsement.
Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap revealed that all transfers falling under the “A plus notesheet” category must be finalized by May 31. The existing policy dictates that departments with varying staff sizes can transfer a specific percentage of employees. Cases involving severe illnesses, spouse postings, and self-illness situations are exceptions to the policy.
The Cabinet meeting also addressed administrative efficiency, investment promotion, and development in Naxal-affected regions. It approved the continuation of schemes worth nearly Rs 3,000 crore, including the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme and various welfare programs. Additionally, the Cabinet greenlit revised estimates for water supply schemes in Seoni and Dewas.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for international accolades, highlighting India’s global standing. The meeting emphasized achievements in counter-Naxalism and cultural heritage preservation. Notably, the government filled long-pending appointments in corporations and boards, emphasizing training for new appointees.
Yadav outlined plans for accelerated development in former Naxal-affected areas, focusing on agriculture, infrastructure, and other key sectors. The Cabinet also welcomed a High Court ruling recognizing Bhojshala as an ancient temple, marking a significant historical restoration. The meeting commenced with the rendition of the national song ‘Vande Mataram.’
