Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav revealed plans for a significant water conservation initiative in the state until June 30, coinciding with Ganga Dussehra. Emphasizing the importance of public involvement, the campaign aims to preserve rivers, ponds, canals, and wells.
During a visit to Ujjain, Yadav highlighted the focus on rejuvenating traditional water bodies through collaborative efforts between local communities and government bodies. He underscored the crucial role of water in life and the government’s continuous efforts to enhance water conservation structures across Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav mentioned the state’s top ranking in water conservation efforts nationwide and the encouragement of public participation following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call. He linked the tradition of Shipra Parikrama and Ganga Dussehra celebrations in Ujjain to the significance of water conservation and environmental consciousness.
The Chief Minister commended the progress made in water conservation during a recent review by the Union Jal Shakti Ministry, expressing optimism about the state’s continued advancement in this sector. Additionally, he inspected infrastructure developments for Simhastha-2028 and praised the coordinated preparations for the religious congregation in Ujjain.
