Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has introduced a special welfare and honor package for individuals who defended democracy during the 1975 Emergency. This initiative includes the Chief Minister’s Tirtha Darshan Yojana, which will facilitate pilgrimages for these democracy fighters. Additionally, the state government will offer complimentary stays at government rest houses for two days.
In a gathering with democracy fighters in Bhopal, Chief Minister Yadav disclosed plans to honor deceased democracy fighters by installing inscriptions and naming public structures near their localities after them. The government will now cover the medical expenses of all democracy fighters, with critical patients receiving free services of the “PMshree Air Ambulance” for transfers to advanced medical facilities.
Every democracy fighter will be recognized with a copper plate, and those changing residences will be allowed to switch their linked bank branches for receiving the “Samman Nidhi” pension. Furthermore, democracy fighters will receive priority treatment, respect, and their suggestions will be valued in all government offices. Chief Minister Yadav highlighted the sacrifices made by these individuals, comparing them to the freedom fighters who secured India’s independence.
