Positioning Madhya Pradesh as a global hub of spiritual learning, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the ‘Acharya Shankar Prakatotsav – Ekatma Parv’ in Omkareshwar. The festival aims to bridge ancient Indian philosophy with contemporary global issues. Yadav highlighted the importance of the event in reinterpreting India’s philosophical heritage in today’s context.
Scheduled on Vaishakh Shukla Panchami, the five-day festival at Mandhata Hill will gather spiritual leaders, scholars, and artists to explore the message of Advaita Vedanta. The ‘Advaitamritam – Vimarsh Sabha’ will delve into the relevance of Advaita philosophy in addressing modern challenges like Artificial Intelligence, environmental conservation, and global peace.
The event will also feature cultural programs each evening, showcasing performances by renowned artists such as Jayateerth Mevundi and Shubhada Varadkar. Over 700 youths are set to pledge as ‘Shankaradoots’ on April 21 to propagate the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya. Chief Minister Yadav emphasized Omkareshwar’s spiritual significance as a reflection of India’s enduring legacy and cultural unity on a global platform.
