Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav commended the proposed India-US trade deal, emphasizing its significance in enhancing India’s global standing. He highlighted the potential benefits for farmers, youth, and entrepreneurs nationwide, including in Madhya Pradesh, foreseeing a boost to the Indian economy. Chief Minister Yadav criticized Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for their opposition to the deal, urging them to address unfulfilled promises to farmers regarding loan waivers. He pointed out the substantial growth in irrigation under the current government compared to previous years, attributing it to dedicated policies and efforts.
Chief Minister Yadav further challenged the opposition’s stance on the trade deal, accusing the Congress of concealing its governance failures. He underscored the state government’s commitment to agricultural development, citing recent Cabinet decisions approving farmer-friendly schemes worth around Rs 10,500 crore for the next five years. Yadav expressed readiness for bipartisan discussions on agriculture, emphasizing the priority of farmers’ welfare and state prosperity over political agendas.
