Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced plans to enhance crowd management and security at religious sites in the state by analyzing the management system of Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir. A delegation from the Madhya Pradesh government has been tasked with studying the shrine’s arrangements, including digital registration systems and accommodation facilities.
Chief Minister Yadav expressed the state’s commitment to improving facilities for pilgrims and developing Madhya Pradesh as a premier pilgrimage destination by adopting successful systems from around the country. He also engaged in discussions with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department officials on pilgrimage management and tourism infrastructure during his visit.
The study aims to modernize administrative systems and enhance services at key religious centers in Madhya Pradesh, such as Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, Omkareshwar Dham, and Bhojshala in Dhar. Yadav praised the organized and service-oriented system at Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and intends to replicate similar facilities in Madhya Pradesh.
Emphasizing ongoing religious infrastructure projects, Chief Minister Yadav highlighted development works worth nearly Rs 30,000 crore in Ujjain for Simhastha 2028 and the rapid progress of the Ekatm Dham project at Omkareshwar estimated at around Rs 3,000 crore. The state government aims to enhance civic amenities, security arrangements, and pilgrim facilities across religious destinations in Madhya Pradesh based on recommendations from the delegation’s study.
