Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has given the green light to a plan aimed at modernizing school education in the state. This initiative includes introducing Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills for students in classes 8 to 12. Additionally, vocational training in agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries will be rolled out at the high school level.
During a review meeting of the School Education Department in Bhopal, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the importance of equipping students with practical skills, AI knowledge, and job-oriented training. He stressed the need for a holistic approach to education, focusing on practical learning and innovation to enhance quality.
In a bid to recognize academic excellence, top-performing schools in Madhya Pradesh will be publicly acknowledged. Schools achieving a 100% pass rate in examinations will be felicitated, with 26 schools accomplishing this feat in the current year. Schools with results above 90 or 95% will also receive recognition for their consistent performance.
The Chief Minister also approved the “Shiksha Ghar Yojana,” a scheme designed to support students who dropped out after failing Class 8 or higher. This initiative aims to help students complete their High School and Higher Secondary education through the Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Board. Furthermore, to enrich cultural education, Chief Minister Yadav instructed the inclusion of King Veer Vikramaditya’s biography in school textbooks and the development of an engaging book on Guru Sandipani, the teacher of Lord Krishna.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to providing quality education, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the importance of modern Sandipani schools in building a strong educational foundation for a developed and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. The meeting also celebrated a significant increase in enrollment, with a 32.4% rise in Class 1 enrollment and a 4.25% increase in Classes 9 to 12 compared to the previous year.
