Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, for the shirtless protest by Youth Congress workers at the recent AI Summit in New Delhi. Yadav accused the Congress of tarnishing India’s image and prioritizing politics over national interest. He highlighted that while India is progressing under PM Modi, the Congress focuses on its own agenda internationally.
Yadav’s comments came after Rahul Gandhi condemned the BJP government for the arrest of Congress workers, including Indian Youth Congress chief Uday Bhanu Chib, by the Delhi Police. Gandhi, addressing a ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ in Bhopal, expressed support for the arrested workers. The Delhi Police arrested Chib, labeling him a key conspirator in the protest where anti-national slogans were allegedly raised.
The police also detained three Congress youth workers from Gwalior for their involvement in the shirtless protest at the AI Summit. The arrested individuals, Jitendra Yadav, Raj Gujjar, and Ajay Kumar, were taken into custody for their actions during the protest at the venue. Last week, the Youth Congress staged the protest at Bharat Mandapam, criticizing the AI Impact Summit and accusing the PM of being compromised.
