Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav criticized Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for labeling Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as “traitors.” Yadav expressed disappointment over Gandhi’s comments, stating that such remarks undermine the democratic system. He emphasized the importance of constructive policy discussions in political discourse.
In a recent address at a ‘Bahujan Swabhiman Sabha,’ Rahul Gandhi called on supporters to confront RSS workers and referred to Modi and Shah as traitors. Responding to this, Chief Minister Yadav highlighted the essential roles of the ruling party and the opposition in a democracy. He suggested that Gandhi’s approach to discourse warrants his resignation from the position of Leader of the Opposition.
Yadav stressed that while criticism of government policies is acceptable, branding key figures as traitors crosses the line. He urged the Congress party to take disciplinary action against Gandhi for his inflammatory remarks. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for maintaining decorum and respecting democratic institutions in public debates.
