Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized that the upcoming Datia Assembly bypoll on July 30 is a significant contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party’s development-focused approach and the Congress’ strategy of spreading falsehoods. Addressing public gatherings in Udgua and Uparayn, Yadav highlighted the bypoll’s importance in advancing the constituency’s progress, beyond just electing an MLA.
Yadav underscored that the election in Datia symbolizes a battle between the BJP’s commitment to growth and the Congress’ history of hindering development and propagating misinformation. He urged the electorate to support the BJP to accelerate Datia’s advancement and criticized the Congress for obstructing progress during its tenure.
The Chief Minister praised the BJP governments at both the national and state levels for their initiatives benefiting farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged. He specifically mentioned the Ken-Betwa river-linking project, which aims to address water scarcity in the Bundelkhand region and enhance agricultural practices. Additionally, Yadav promised enhanced infrastructure, irrigation facilities, and electricity provisions for Datia’s residents.
Yadav highlighted the state government’s efforts in improving roads, electricity supply, healthcare services, and implementing welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Ladli Behna Yojana. The Datia Assembly seat became vacant due to the disqualification of former Congress MLA Rajendra Bharti following a corruption conviction.
