Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for conservation measures amid global challenges. During a Cabinet meeting, Yadav emphasized the importance of following the Prime Minister’s suggestions in the national interest. PM Modi urged citizens to utilize public transport, work from home, and engage in virtual meetings to reduce fuel consumption and support supply chains.
Yadav highlighted the need for citizens to transition to solar pumps and natural farming to decrease reliance on petroleum products and chemical fertilizers. The Prime Minister also advocated for increased use of Indian Railways’ freight services to alleviate pressure on supply chains. Citizens are encouraged to postpone international travel plans, explore domestic tourist destinations, and utilize public transport or electric vehicles to conserve fuel.
The state government, under Yadav’s leadership, will collaborate with various departments to promote these conservation efforts. Awareness campaigns will be conducted to encourage public transport usage, virtual meetings, solar pump adoption, and natural farming practices. Departments related to agriculture, transport, and tourism are tasked with developing action plans to support these initiatives.
