Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to lead a significant state-level event in Lahar, Bhind district, where he will transfer more than Rs 1,835 crore directly to the accounts of 1.25 crore women beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana. This event will mark the 38th consecutive monthly installment since the scheme began in June 2023. The Ladli Behna Yojana, known as one of Madhya Pradesh’s popular welfare programs, offers continuous financial aid to eligible women.
The government’s decision in November 2025 to increase the monthly support by Rs 250 has resulted in each beneficiary receiving Rs 1,500 per month. With 37 successful installments completed until June 2026, the scheme has become a key element of the state’s social security system, ensuring economic empowerment and stability for women in the region. Chief Minister Yadav will also inaugurate 40 completed development projects worth Rs 238.96 crore, covering various sectors to enhance infrastructure and public amenities.
Furthermore, he will lay the foundation stones for 16 new welfare-oriented projects valued at Rs 83.33 crore. These upcoming projects aim to strengthen the region’s infrastructure to meet future needs, promoting sustainable growth and a better quality of life for residents. The event in Lahar will showcase the state government’s dual focus on empowering women through direct financial aid and driving regional development through strategic investments.
By integrating social welfare with infrastructure development, the government seeks to promote inclusive growth and long-term resilience in Madhya Pradesh. This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to transparency and efficiency, ensuring direct benefit transfers reach beneficiaries without intermediaries. The Ladli Behna Yojana not only offers financial assistance but also boosts women’s confidence, positioning them as active contributors to the state’s progress.
