Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed concern over the use of electrical appliances like air conditioners in enclosed spaces, emphasizing the importance of regular electrical circuit inspections in homes and commercial places. He highlighted the need for caution during electric vehicle charging, especially at night, stressing the safety of families. Yadav mentioned the recent tragic fire incident in Indore where eight family members died due to a fire following an explosion at an EV charging point.
Taking cognizance of the Indore fire tragedy, the state government, in collaboration with experts, aims to find solutions to prevent such incidents in the future. Chief Minister Yadav, who visited the families of the victims in Indore, extended his condolences over the loss of lives. He assured that discussions with experts will be held to prevent the recurrence of such tragedies, emphasizing the importance of necessary preventive measures.
During a meeting with Chief Minister Yadav, Saurabh Pugalia, the eldest son of the house owner where the fire occurred, clarified that the fire resulted from a short circuit at an electric pole, not the vehicle charging process itself.
