The Indian National Congress in Madhya Pradesh is set to stage a statewide protest regarding irregularities in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) examination. Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari announced this during a press conference in Bhopal, criticizing the BJP for alleged paper leaks and exam scams nationwide.
Patwari accused both the BJP-led Centre and state governments of neglecting the future of around 24 lakh students who took the NEET exam. He emphasized that such issues, like the NEET-UG 2026 controversy, are crucial to the nation’s future and have eroded trust in the examination system among students and parents.
Highlighting concerns over corruption and political interference in exam processes, Patwari pointed to instances like the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh. He expressed that the youth’s future is at stake due to recurrent paper leaks and recruitment irregularities, leading to a loss of faith in the examination system.
The Congress leader stressed the need for accountability at all levels and announced plans for protests across Madhya Pradesh to address these issues with students and the public. Additionally, the party will unveil a campaign focusing on youth, employment, and education during a forthcoming press conference.
